CRESCENT DUMP OPENING

The Crescent Town Dump will be available for dumping yard waste and brush Friday, September 27th through Sunday, September 29th. Please DO NOT leave garbage or large trees at the Town Dump. We are working on a plan for surveillance so that the dump can again be open every day.

CRESCENT ROAD CONSTRUCTION NOTICE

The Crescent Town Board is proud to announce the 2024 Crescent Road construction from the intersection of US Highway 8 and the Long Lake Road. The project is scheduled to begin on Monday, September 16th with anticipated completion in late September or early October.

- The Town of Crescent will post construction activity daily via the Town of Crescent Website: 
 Go to townofcrescent.com.
- A moving single lane of traffic will be open during the daily construction hours.
- Both lanes should be open to traffic before and after daily construction hours.

Crescent Road Construction Schedule

September 16-17: Placement of base course material. (NOTE: Traffic Control with one lane open during construction hours and both lanes open after construction hours.)
September 18-20: Road Pulverizing (NOTE: Traffic Control with one lane open during construction hours and both lanes open after construction hours.)
September 24-27: Lane Paving (NOTE: Traffic Control with one lane open during construction hours and both lanes open after construction hours.)
September or October: Shoulder Placement and Shaping (NOTE: Traffic Control with one lane open during construction hours and both lanes open after construction hours.)

Highway Maintenance Worker

The Town of Crescent is accepting applications for an on-call part-time backup Highway Snowplow Driver. Starting hourly rate of $22.00 to $28.00 based upon experience with no additional benefits offered. This is a seasonal on-call position with no guaranteed hours.

Qualified applicant must have a high-school diploma, Valid Wisconsin Driver's license with Class B, C, D and Air Brake Endorsement; knowledge of snowplowing; good far, near, and night vision, good hearing and perception of sound; ability to work under extreme cold, and wet conditions; ability to work independently; ability to respond to residents' concerns in a respectful appropriate manner.

The Town of Crescent has received updated PFAS testing for the Crescent Spring. The 2022 test results can be viewed here. At this time the Town of Crescent and the Oneida County Health Department continue to recommend NOT drinking the spring water.
